Marketing Executive, South Africa
Worked for three years as a marketing executive in post apartheid South Africa, where the seeds for Vince’s community and political activism were sowed. His time in Africa also gave him a first-hand perspective of global issues and world-view politics.
Community Banker, TD Bank
Worked for six years as a community development banker championing investment in underserved communities around the state of New York. Vince helped affordable housing development, small businesses, not-for-profits and social service agencies get the financing they needed to continue their important work. During this time Vince was directly involved with investments of over $25 million in New York state with over $10 million in Upper Manhattan in the form of small business loans, commercial real estate loans, lines of credit and grants to local not-for-profit organizations.
Chairman, 125th Steet Business Improvement District (BID)
Vince served for three years as chairman of the board and was instrumental in refocusing the organization on its core mission, helping to reorganize the structure, focus and business plan, attract new members to the board, increase participation as well as raise financial standards and reporting. He also elevated the prominence of the organization to better reflect and represent the 500-some commercial businesses located on 125th Street. In 2010, he led the efforts to support the Holiday Lighting Campaign “Light It Up” and helped unify the local community boards, businesses and residents to fundraise and promote shopping and tourism in Harlem.
Director, The Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone
Vince served as the Director of Marketing & Communications for Upper Manhattan’s premier economic development organization. During his tenure he was instrumental in the “Swing Uptown” tourism initiative to attract visitors Uptown. Vince worked closely with all the major cultural institutions and many prominent local businesses in Harlem to unify them around a collective push for investment and marketing support.
Special Assistant to Congressman, Charles B. Rangel, 15th Congressional District of NY
Vince spent three years working with the legendary Harlem politician. He assisted residents with issues that included housing, immigration, healthcare, social security, education and economic development and served as the Congressman’s go-to person for small business and education initiatives. He resurrected and managed the local college internship program, upgraded office facilities and technology to streamline case work and provided a system for monitoring the process.

Served as representative from the 7th Electoral District of the 70th Assembly District in Harlem. Worked to ensure the party’s values and issues were implemented to better the lives of all New Yorkers.
